NDMS offers a fully integrated payment solution tailored for the hospitality industry.  The solution integrates your point-of-sale and/or property management (front-office) systems with the NDMS payment system to process credit and charge card payments, including Visa, MasterCard, Diners, JCB, Discover and American Express.  This system processes telephone and mail orders and allows you to add currency conversion features so that international visitors can pay in their home currency.

In addition, hospitality companies can:

  • Receive authorization for a transaction prior to processing
  • Add surcharges and tips to an invoice, as well as split bills
  • Set refund limits, which can be restricted to specific users
  • View online reports

Currency Conversion

Currency conversion enables you to offer international customers the option of paying in U.S. dollars or in their home currency. If customers select the foreign currency option, they will only see the foreign currency amount on their card statement.

The benefits include:

  • Provide better customer service with no foreign exchange risk
  • Enhance the confidence of overseas customers who pay by Visa or MasterCard and potentially increase the value of their purchases
  • Provide competitive differentiation and repeat business

Pre-Authorization

The pre-authorization feature enables merchants to check whether funds are available on the customer’s credit or charge card and reserve the funds without debiting the cardholder’s account. This feature is ideal for merchants operating a hotel, car rental or mail/telephone order business, and is also available for American Express, Diners Club and JCB cards.

Pre-authorization provides a level of assurance that a customer’s card is valid, has sufficient funds and is not stolen. It can be used to estimate transaction amounts for room and service rates and other allowable charges. You can also use pre-authorization in situations where you do not wish to complete the transaction instantly.

Tipping

This feature allows your customers to add a specified tip amount to their credit or debit card purchase. Ideal for restaurants or service-based industries, it enables tips to be handled with a minimum of fuss. Tips can also be attributed to individual staff members.
